国际部中加“2+1”学生热情接待澳大利亚朋友

　　16 students from the International Department warmly received friends from Australia. The Australian students are greatly impressed by their counterparts' English and hospitality. Our students make good friends with them and keep e-mailing them after the Australian students left.

Students' Feelings

　　Now the exchange students from Australia have left ,who are our new friends .Though they just stayed with us for a several days ,they made a deep impression on with us Chinese students ，they seemed to be more active and curious about new things. I think it must be the different education that influences their characteristics. What's more ，their various ideas on many things broaden our eyesides ,as we also remind them of a new way to see the world. I think the communication between us leads to a brave new world ,when ideas meet ,their will be a great change ,especially between countries and different cultures .I hope we can have more opportunities to meet students from different countries.

　　Students from Australia to leave we have nearly two weeks, now in retrospect, I still have a little sad, but every time I think of the time with Jackson, I always smile. Jackson, my best partner, always makes me feel warm. He is a kind and honest person. He always at some time to make us happy, he always came out when to eat, eat a little more, but have more food that the body is good. Oh, almost forgot that he learn Chinese songs is very interesting, always let us in stitches. But happy time is always short, under the three days. Although he's gone, but I won't forget him, will never forget the foreign friends.

　　I received an Australian playmate last week. This girl comes from Australia whose name is Ally. We spent several days together. We were very happily.

　　First day, I met her in café at school. I sent her chocolate. She was so excited that could not help hugging me. She said that she loved chocolate very much. On the first night, we made dumplings together. My mother prepared everything for us and then I taught her how to make dumplings .She was interest in making dumplings. Then she ate dumplings. She was that was made by herself and was very satisfied. During the three nights, I took her to Jinghua country the center of town and the Golden eagle shopping center. We also had Japanese food with Penny and her playmate. We sang all the way.

　　I will never forget this experience. This is a very valuable memory. I not only make an Australian friend but also learn more about the life in Australia. I think the playmate is very confident and outgoing. She is never shy and has enough courage to show herself. For example, she sang loudly and spoke Chinese confidently. Though she told me that she was not good at Chinese, I think we should study her character. We need to speak English loudly, which improves our speaking quickly.

　　In the last, we left very sad. We both wanted to stay for a long time. Although we are not stay together now, we will not forget each other and I believed that we will meet again in future.

　　Last week, I received a girl called Jennifer who came from Australia. The girl is very charming and easy-going. She stayed at my home with my families for three days. We had a good time. We did many interesting things together. On the first evening, we made dumplings and wontons with the help of my mother. My mother taught Jennifer how to make dumplings and wontons. Jennifer learnt very quickly. Then we visited the Grand Cannel. Of course, I told her the history of the Cannel. On the second day, we had buffet dinner in Shangri-La hotel. Jennifer said she had a wonderful evening. On the last day, we went shopping with Alley and Mia. We did something crazy such as singing in the ice-cream shop. I sent some Chinese traditional food and the cosmetics of Xiefuchun to Jennifer. She also sent me many amazing presents such as a nice green hat and so on. Jennifer thought she had a very nice trip in Yangzhou with my families. I leant a lot from Jennifer as well. I found many differences between Australian culture and Chinese culture. I thought it is really necessary for me to learn more vocabularies. And my English improved a lot in the three days. Jennifer and I made friends with each other. We still contact with each other by e-mail. I hope I can learn more things from Jennifer in the future

　　First I think, for me, this activity improved my ability to communicate with foreigners, we had a great fun with each other.

　　Second, I’m very happy to make a new foreign friend. During the home stay, we become good friends although it doesn’t last long.

　　We have many events that I can hardly forget. Here is some of my experience during the first evening, we had a long talk in the car before we arrived home and Patrick told me he had some photos to show me but his camera needed some AA batteries. I asked if he knew the size, but he didn’t. So I asked if there were some of them on the computer he brought, he told me that all the photos he wanted to show me were on the SD card, and he also told me the computer had low level of electricity. I said he can charge it when he arrived, but he said he left the charger in Nanjing. I told him I may buy one for him the next day. And then we had a big dinner and watched the film mission impossible III on my computer. We all enjoyed the day.

　　The next day, after I send him to the slander west lake, I finished all my homework in the morning and in the afternoon I went to the PC mall to see if I could get a charger for him. I went to the after-sale service center and got one with power line for him. In the evening, we went to the RT-Market together to see which kind of rechargeable batteries with charger he wanted. After we finished dinner, we stayed together to discuss some questions about maths and chemistry. I also performed some chemical experiments for him and he liked it very much…

　　Although we didn’t spend much time together, we became good friends. We had many experience during the home stay and I hope the school can organize more activities and give us more chance to stay with the foreign students and talk to them. I really hope I can have more chances to join those activities. And I benefit a lot from this activity. Also I need say ‘thank you a lot’ to the teacher who has given me this precious chance!
