The day we were looking forward to came at last----a five-day military training began on Sep 27^th 2011.

In the morning, over 4 hundred students from Shuren Middle School gathered on the playground. At about half past seven, all the students got on different coaches and they took us all the way right to Baoying. On the way, the teens felt excited from time to time, laughing and talking all the time. The sky was bluer and the trees were greener. Everything was beautiful. As soon as the coaches arrived there, we had an opening ceremony. Mrs Yin gave us a talk and told us to set a goal and keep on doing for it. And we were supposed not to give up at any time. Then the students were took to our domintries and ordered to change the military uniform as soon as possible. After that, they ran out and stood a pose of soldier for fifiteen minutes. In the blazing sun, sweat streamed down and they wouldn't wipe it off. At last they did it although it was hard work.

Then it was time for lunch. Everybody was forced not to talk or whisper during lunchtime. They were also educated not to waste food. After lunch, a short sleep began, but it was necessary to keep quiet in the room. Otherwise, they would get a punishment. In the afternoon, the training lasted for about 3 hours and a half. They practised standing at ease and quick time, march. During breaktime, the platoon officers could chat with the students and taught some songs. The platoon officers were very strict and kind as well during the training.

It was getting dark and the first day was over. It was a tiring day, but I could still see the smiling eyes from the students passing by. Because they always think tomorrow will be better.
